About the Grapevine Series

The EartHeart Studios Grapevine series represents a portion of the recent work of Michele Rudenko and features a unique grapevine motif which has won critical recognition this year; these include two first in show awards, and a highest merit award.

Ms. Rudenko, whose residence and studio overlook the Napa River , originally developed this design to honor the beauty of the vine, the craft of the vineyard and the exquisite art of the vintners of the region.

Michele has developed her talent in Raku vessels and wall art to an astonishing degree. A substantial percentage of her current body of work includes vases, some of these are glazed with the rainbow hued Raku finish while others that demonstrate the "horse hair" pattern may show beside a more complex and gracefully curved and bordered Raku tray.

Each piece of EartHeart ceramic fine art is individually hand-built. No two pieces are exactly alike. Trays and vases are functional; trays will hold food or other objects and vases will contain water. Instructions for care and use are included with acquisition.
